ABOUT JEANNE HANCE - JAGOE

Drawn to the profession with a desire to understand and heal from the pain of her own upbringing, Jeanne has been compassionately guiding individuals, families, and couples through the process of healing their emotional wounds and navigating turbulent times. 

Jeanne is unique in her field as she is both a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Marital and Family Therapist which gives her an expansive capacity to treat a wide range of emotional issues.  

She has extensive experience with psychotherapy privately as well as in the institutional setting and her specialities include: 

  • Medical Family Therapy

  • Infertility, Pregnancy-Related Issues, and Postpartum

  • Marriage and Family 

  • Grief and Loss

  • Incest/Sexual Assault (including rape)

  • Oncology

  • Hospice

  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

With her comforting and professional manner, Jeanne creates a safe environment where even the most vulnerable can open up and begin their healing journey. She provides a full range of counseling services at her office in Milford, CT.

In addition to counseling, she has also served as a Patient and Family Advisor at Yale New Haven Hospital/Smilow Cancer Center. She has also served as an outpatient oncology therapy provider and an Adjunct clinician for Smilow Cancer Hospital of Yale New Haven Health.

Jeanne earned her Bachelor of Science and Masters of Social Work from New York University and she completed her postgraduate training in Marital and Family Therapy at the Family Institute of Westchester in Mount Vernon, New York.
